From time to time I plan to share personal stories so you can get to know me better. Since there’s a fun video to share I thought I’d start with our Colorado family vacation!
We rented a cabin in Pagosa Springs, Colorado with my parents, older sister, and her best friend. The video contains footage from Pagosa Springs, Durango, Silverton, and Ouray.
You can watch the video my hubby put together here:

By the way, we cannot recommend the Go Pro camera enough! We use it around the house almost daily and on every vacation. It takes great quality video for something so compact and convenient.
This was really a perfect trip for my little one as she loves the outdoors and animals. She delighted in seeing deer, rabbits, cows, and horses. We took the historic train from Durango to Silverton which has some of the best scenic views. My little one turned 20 months on this trip and loved just about everything except the long car rides.
Hubby and I took an afternoon white water rafting trip by ourselves which was a ton of fun. Mid trip he asked our guide what the next level or difficulty of trip would’ve been.
Mid week we also got to celebrate my Dad’s birthday!
The end of our week long trip culminated with my little sister’s wedding at Durango Mountain Resort (which by the way looks to have a ton of fun activities). Cheers to Donna & Justin!
Overall we loved the scenery and activities available but disliked the long car rides. I’m also not sure I’d stay in a DIY cabin again – not a huge fan of cooking a ton while on vacation. However we made some great memories and got to see our daughter experience several firsts.
